Indications:
Vliwaktiv dressing is designed for the treatment of wounds:

• critically colonized
• infected and / or with unpleasant odors
• with increased risk of infection (eg. by weakening your body's resistance, fecal fistula, cancerous wounds, postoperative wounds, etc.).

VliwaktivAg absorbent dressing from active carbon with silvercan be used for the wounds:

• very exudatives;
• superficial, such as pressure ulcers, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, postoperative healing wounds, ulcerative tumors;

This product can also be used as a secondary dressing in combination with wound fillers (for example tamponade and Suprasorb A calcium agglomerate, Vliwaktiw Ag active carbon with silver tamponade)

Contraindications:

Known hypersensitivity to the product or its storage.

Use:

Preparation of the wound:

Prior to placing a new dressing, clean the wound in the usual way (eg with sterile physiological solution, Ringer's fluid or if necessary with antiseptic) and carefully dry the edges of the wound.

Applying the dressing

Apply a dark bandage of activated carbon on the wound. The size of the dressing depends on the area of the wound and should extend beyond the edges of the wound for at least 2-3 cm. Depending on the degree of exudate and the state of the wound, a combination of wound fillers (eg Suprasorb A calcium alginate tamponade) can be used.

Attach the dressing with a suitable fixation material (Curafix patch, elastic bandage).

Exchange of the dressing

The intervals in which the dressing must be replaced are determined by the doctor according to the condition of the wound (eg signs of infection, exudate level).
