Indications:

Vliwaktiv dressing of active carbon with silver is intended for the treatment of wounds:

• critically colonized
• infected and / or with unpleasant odors
• with increased risk of infection (eg. by weakening your body's resistance, fecal fistula, cancerous wounds, postoperative wounds, etc.).

Vliwaktiv Ag active dressing can be used for:

• heavly exuding wounds;
• surface wounds such as pressure ulcers, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, postoperative healing wounds, ulcerative tumors;

Dressing can also be used as a secondary dressing in combination with wound fillers (eg Suprasorb A tamponade with calcium agglomerate,Vliwaktiw Ag active carbon tamponade)

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the product or its components.

Use:

Preparation of the wound

Prior to placing a new dressing, clean the wound in the usual way (eg with sterile physiological solution, Ringer's fluid or if with necessary antiseptic) and carefully dry the edges of the wound.

Applying the dressing

Apply the dressing so that the active-carbon site touches the wound. The size of the dressing depends on the size of the wound and should extend beyond the edges of the wound for at least 2-3 cm. Depending on the degree of exudate and the state of the wound, there is a possibility of using a combination of wound fillers (eg Suprasorb A calcium alginate tamponade)

Attach the dressing with a suitable fixation material (Curafix patch, elastic bandage).

Exchange of dressing

The intervals in which the dressing must be changed are determined by the doctor according to the condition of the wound (eg signs of infection, exudate level).
