1.   Accu-Chek Active Glucometer

Accu Chek Active Glucometer provides:

• Fast and easy measurement: testing with this meter takes only 5 seconds. All you have to do is simply insert the test strip into the meter, turn it on, and then apply the blood to the orange test area, read the result, and then remove the strip from the meter.
• Data analysis: memory capacity of up to 350 results allows the user to calculate average results ​​over the last 7, 14 or 30 days; the ability to mark before and after meal results and special ones.
• Transferring data to a PC: the camera has an infrared port that allows you to send saved results straight to your computer.
• Detection of insufficient size: the apparatus indicates that a drop of blood which is too small has been applied to the test strip.
• Warning about expiry of the test strip: the meter informs you that the test used has expired and the result is marked accordingly.
• Double control: using the strip test alone, you can quickly check the reliability of the obtained result by comparing the color of the control window on the back of the test strip with the color scale on the test vial.

How to use:

Take out the test strip from the vial and close it immediately. Hold the test strip so that the orange test field is facing up. Carefully insert the test strip into the meter in the direction of the arrows until you hear a click. This means that the test strip is in the right place. Inserting the test strip automatically turns the meter on.

After a short test of the display and checking the code number (it should correspond to the code on the test vial), the display will show the symbol of the test strip and a flashing drop of blood. Apply a drop of blood to the center of the orange area and take your finger back. You will get the result after 5 seconds.

The device will turn off automatically after removing the test strip. The result with the date and time of measurement will be automatically saved in memory.

Applying blood outside the measuring device

Remove the test strip from the camera when the test strip symbol and a blinking drop of blood appear. Apply blood to the test strip and put it back in the device within approx. 20 sec.

Visual check of the credibility of the test result

Check the color of the round control window located on the back of the test strip.

Compare the color of this window with the color scale on the container label with the test strips to check the reliability of the result obtained. Remember: treatment decisions should only be made on the basis of the results displayed by the measuring device.

3.   Accu-Chek Active Control Solution

For checking the accuracy of Accu-Chek Active, Accu-Chek Plus and the GLUCOTREND family of devices and the ACCU-CHEK Active Glucose test strips.

Control tests should be carried out:

• When learning how to measure blood glucose;
  
• After replacing the battery;
• After cleaning the device;
• After starting a new pack of Accu-Chek Active test strips, and thus exchanging the coding key;
• When the obtained results differ from the expected ones, especially when the obtained value is higher than expected.

Package contents: the package contains 2 x 4 ml of glucose control solution which can be enough for over 80 measurements.

• Control solution with a blue cap for the hypoglycemic range;
• Control solution with a red cap for the hyperglycemia range.
