Suprasorb P polyurethane foam non-adhesive dressing is a dressing consisting of two layers of polyurethane: carrier and foam. Each dressing is individually packed, ready to use and sterilized with Gamma rays. Suprasorb P polyurethane foam non-adhesive dressing is for single use and can not be re-sterilized.

Suprasorb P polyurethane foam dressing, without glue, is made in such a way that, thanks to its absorbent properties, it provides the optimum conditions for medium-exuding surface wounds. While absorbing secretion, the bandage slightly stretches and thus optimally covers the wound.
Under the non-adhesive polyurethane foam dressing Suprasorb P an optimal moist environment in the wound is created, which prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound.

Changing the dressing does not damage the tissue. The Suprasorb P polyurethane foam dressing is extremely flexible and therefore suitable for use in hard-to-reach areas of the body.

Fixing the Suprasorb P dressing

  1. Preparation of the wound: The wound must be carefully cleaned in a standard manner and then dried with compresses. The wound area must be dry, degreased and clean
  2. Fixing the dressing: The size of the dressing depends on the size of the wound. Open the sterile package and remove the dressing. Apply a dressing to the wound and secure with a secondary dressing.
  3. Dressing changes: The period during which the polyurethane foam dressing Suprasorb P should be changed is determined by the doctor according to the condition of the wound. The dressing must be changed if the secretion already fills the foam so that it begins to protrude beyond the edges of the wound.

Suprasorb P polyurethane foam can remain on the cleaned wound for 5-7 days.
