After
skin disinfection and cleansing of the wound or other tissue defects,
the collagen Suprasorb C dressing is trimmed to suit the shape and size,
and then applied dry to the wound with the side facing downwards. If
there is no bleeding from the wound or if it is small, the wound
dressing should be wetted with saline solution or Singer solution. Light pressure stimulates contact with the surface of the nodule. Small fragments of wounds or other defects should also be covered. Dressing Suprasorb C should keep moisture in the wound.
It is possible to use with other products for moist wound healing (eg Suprasorb Hydrocolloid dressing). The change of dressing and fixing the suprasorb C dressing are done according to needs. If necessary, Suprasorb C can be slightly removed with saline solution or, when it comes to extensive burns, in a bath without added additives.
Unless the doctor decides otherwise, the size and shape of the dressing should correspond to the size and shape of the wound. On fresh wounds the dressing can be left until the wound is healed.
