Purpose
Product description and main principles of use
Blood glucose test strips Diagnostic GOLD STRIP has an electrode that measures glucose levels. Glucose in the blood sample is mixed with reagents on the test strip, resulting in an electric current of low intensity. The intensity of the generated current depends on the amount of glucose in the blood. The GOLD Diagnostic Meter measures the current and converts the measurement to the amount of glucose in the blood. The glucose level appears on the LCD of the meter. When a drop of blood is absorbed by the tip of the Diagnostic GOLD STRIP, the strip's reaction zone automatically draws blood through the capillary forces. When the entire reaction field (yellow field) is filled, the Diagnostic GOLD meter starts measuring the glucose level. This is a simple and practical system for daily monitoring of glucose levels.
