Prontosan Wound Gel X 250g.

Composition: Purified water, glycerol, hydroxyethylcellulose, 0.1% undecylenamidopropyl betaine, 0.1% polyaminopropyl biguanida.

Action

Indications 

For cleaning, decontamination and moisturizing acute and chronic wounds, 1st and 2nd degree burns.

The way of using the medical device:

Before applying the Prontosan wound gel, the wound should always be first washed and cleaned with Prontosan wound irrigation solution to remove impurities and easily separable deposits. Always cover the wound site generously with gel. For this purpose, the gel should be applied to the wound or filled in a cavity or wound site.

The gel can also soak or moisten gauzes and compresses or other absorbent materials or fillers and then cover, fill or tie the wound with them.

The gel may remain on the wound until the next dressing change.

Depending on when the next dressing change is planned, the gel can be applied in various amounts:

• greater amount: eg when changing the dressing only after a few days
• smaller amount: when the dressing change is on the next or the same day
  

In this way, the surface of the wound is moisturized at all times, which guarantees good cleansing and decontamination.

The raids are gently separated and removed at the next dressing change.

The gel should be used frequently enough to allow all the raids and necrosis to be easily removed and the wound site to be properly prepared.

This is a good prerequisite for a natural healing of the wound.
